Charter Review Committee
The Charter Review Committee met on Monday, June 1, 2009, at 4:00 pm in Conference
Room A at the Town Offices. In attendance were Debbie Aikman, Ray Braz, Bob Hamblet, Bill Litchfield, Charlie Rader and Bob Walsh. Andy Sifflard was absent. There was no audience.
The minutes of the May 4, 2009 meeting were approved without amendment by a vote of 3-0-3. Those abstaining had not attended the meeting.
The committee next addressed a list of items to pass on to the Board of Selectmen. These items were brought up in the committee’s meetings but did not fall specifically within the charge of the committee. The list was edited down to six items that might be of interest to the Board, plus a reminder that the General By-Law will need to be updated to bring it into conformance with the Charter due to changes in Part VI.
To avoid having to meet yet again, the committee approved the minutes of this meeting by a vote of 6-0-0.
The meeting adjourned at 5:20 pm. No further meetings are planned.
