PROTECTION FOR YOU AND YOUR CHATHAM HOME
Many summer residents are in Chatham for a few summer months and possibly other season weekends, and when they are absent they are usually unaware of strong storms or other threats to property or persons. Chatham’s Swift 911 is an emergency notification that will automatically alert you to matters that are important to the town or your specific neighborhood.
You access Swift 911 through the Town’s home page, and the instructions are simple and clear. Here is a summary.
- You must enter your Chatham address
- You may enter your Chatham or winter telephone number
- You should enter alternate numbers, usually your cell phone(s)
- Text/SMS is only for text messaging
- Pager is only if you have this special service.
- Be sure to check the submit box.
You are not required to join Swift 911, but you are urged to do so.
