Overview

Committee Charge

  1. The GAC shall meet at least once per month during the golfing season, April through November, and as otherwise necessary.
  2. The GAC shall include at least three playing members of Chatham Seaside Links Golf Course.
  3. The GAC shall act as liaison between the Board of Selectmen and the golf course manager.
  4. The GAC shall be responsible to the Board of Selectmen and Town Manager to assure the manager of the golf course is in compliance with the contract and request for proposal (RFP) incorporated therein.
  5. The GAC shall advise the Board of Selectmen and the Town Manager in writing of any unresolved issues arising with the management and/or conditions of the golf course that are not in compliance with the contract.
  6. The GAC shall assist and advise in resolving complaints in accordance with the RFP.
  7. The GAC shall assist and advise in the preparation and development of any future RFPs.
  8. The GAC shall maintain a complete set of minutes of each meeting. Upon approval of the minutes by members of the GAC, copies will be given to the Board of Selectmen (BOS), Town Manager, Manager of the Golf Course, Town Clerk and Parks and Recreation Director.

Submitting Electronic Correspondence

Please submit correspondence to the Staff Liaison. Please note that all such electronic correspondence is considered a public record. Correspondence containing requests for public records will be responded to by the Staff Liaison in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 66, Section 10 within 10 days of receipt. All other correspondence and materials submitted will be forwarded by the Staff Liaison to the Board/Committee Chair, with a copy to Members/Commissioners and person sending request/comment, for potential scheduling of discussion on an upcoming public meeting agenda.
