MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Chatham Cultural Council is to promote a rich and diverse life by supporting programs, events, and performances, which encourages critical thinking, creativity and community building.

PRIORITIES

Chatham Cultural Council should benefit citizens of Chatham and surrounding Cape Cod communities.  Grant priorities should benefit our underserved population by promoting programs and venues that serves large groups in our communities.  School aged children and activities related to learning will be given a high priority.  Programs and events that enrich our seniors, will also be given high priority.  Events that include all citizens of our community will be given special consideration.

LOCAL GUIDELINES

Accepting Applications

The Chatham Cultural Council is accepting applications for grants beginning September 1st through October 15, 2022.  Applications must be completed online at the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s website https://massculturalcouncil.smartsimple.com where information on the application guidelines and process is available. 

This past year, the Chatham Cultural Council awarded 32 grants totaling over $17,000.00 that enriched the lives of our Cape Cod community.

Submitting Electronic Correspondence

Please submit correspondence to the Staff Liaison. Please note that all such electronic correspondence is considered a public record. Correspondence containing requests for public records will be responded to by the Staff Liaison in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 66, Section 10 within 10 days of receipt. All other correspondence and materials submitted will be forwarded by the Staff Liaison to the Board/Committee Chair, with a copy to Members/Commissioners and person sending request/comment, for potential scheduling of discussion on an upcoming public meeting agenda.
